The Downward Love of a Parent
I recently heard Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. say “The upward love of a child toward their parents will never equal the downward love of a parent toward their child.”
They just can’t truly understand your love until they love their own children.
As parents we must always go first.
It’s the pattern God has modeled for us.
If you’re believing for a child to return to you, Malachi 4:6 is powerful. “He WILL RESTORE the hearts of the FATHERS (or mothers) to their CHILDREN and the hearts of the CHILDREN to their FATHERS (or mothers).” *parentheses mine*
There is NEVER anything insignificant in the Word.
The order is that PARENTS GO FIRST.
He loved US before we loved HIM.
As far as it concerns you, always keep the door open.
Keep loving and pursuing them.
Are you are currently navigating life with a “prodigal child” or one who possibly has not left the home yet but is displaying “prodigal” behavior in the home, such as : pulling away, retreating to themselves, no longer wishing to engage with you, no longer choosing to connect, or is disconnected from God’s best for them as we see described in God’s Word?
I would love to help YOU learn how to PRAY POWERFUL and EFFECTIVE PRAYERS for your child and yourself, how to gain the skills of EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE, how to RESPOND FROM LOVE, and how to WALK FREE of FEAR of your child’s future!
Hit the Coach with Me link today and let’s set up a time to chat about how I help mamas just like YOU! It’s going to be okay! ~Be Blessed, Jenny xoxo
