This is a phrase that has personally helped me through some very challenging days. Sometimes you have to take a deep breath and tell yourself, everything is going to be ok. This is just for NOW, not FOREVER! You won’t always feel this way. It’s temporary. It’s a season and seasons do change. Joy comes in the morning.
And the Word says, “For our light affliction, which is but for a MOMENT, worketh for us a far more exceeding weight of glory.” Paul had described all the challenges he faced, beatings, and hunger, and shipwrecks, and persecutions, and said they were but a TEMPORARY, LIGHT affliction and that they were WORKING something in him!
No matter what you may be facing today, it’s ok to say, Yes, I may not be where I want to be, and I may be facing something I’d rather not feel, but it is TEMPORARY! And it is working in me a FAR MORE EXCEEDING and ETERNAL WEIGHT OF GLORY!
