What if You Are More Powerful Than You Know?

The other day I was reading the journal I started when I was pregnant with our son, Landon, our first born.

Getting acquainted with the beautiful little mother within me causes all those lovely emotions to surface once again.

The wonder-filled conversations with the little man I had yet to formally meet makes me remember the miracles that took place month after month.

How his little life was threatened three times before he even made his appearance earth-side.

The many entries which were the accounts of prayer requests and how I so desired to be able to stay at home with him.

How God supplied our needs, over, and over, and over again.
And once he arrived, all the entries depicting the simple joys of homemaking.

How I adored every little feature of him. His little nose, his round Charlie Brown noggin, his soft, silky feet.

How grateful I was that God had been faithful and would continue to allow me to be home for the next 20 years; baking, cooking, cleaning, creating a peaceful haven for us, training and teaching my children with wonder and freedom of their interests.

And I realize that all the LITTLE THINGS which to many seem insignificant and ordinary, were truly POWERFUL and transformative for ME just as much for them.

To allow others to grow in your LOVE, you must know LOVE yourself.

That we mothers are ANOINTED to MOTHER.

It’s a SACRED WORK that we do not have to do alone.

He designed us to do it yoked to Him and His never ending source of LOVE.
