Do Our Loved Ones Become Birds, Butterflies, or Angels?

What’s the harm in thinking this? Because we should always be endeavoring to think upon the truth. There are always only two thoughts. The truth and a lie. The enemy is so subtle in his attempt to sidetrack us from the truth and coerce us to accept a lie. This type of deception, which falsely pretends to bring comfort, will only cause those still on earth to wrongly focus on earthly things and not on the truth of what those who are in heaven get to enjoy.

When our loved ones have accepted Jesus as their Savior, the greatest reward is that they are now in heaven, experiencing the fullness of His glory. We are spirit beings and as such we are in the same class of being as God, created in His very image. We are not in the same category as animals or angels, and as such we receive a great promotion of being in heaven and awaiting Christ’s return to the earth to rapture His bride and at the appointed time we will all receive our perfect, glorified bodies. We will eventually reign with Him forever on the new earth!

The saddest of the deceived are little children, who may believe their loved ones have become angels because God has need of them to be. Nothing could do a child more harm in their close relationship with the Father than to be told that He took their loved one from them. God does not take anyone, but He does receive all of His children. Jesus clearly taught us that Satan is responsible when He said “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but I have come that you might have LIFE and have it ABUNDANTLY.” (John 10:10)

If your loved one went home to Jesus at a young age or in a way that was not peaceful, that is never God’s best but the Word tells us that “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” (Psalm 116:15) His highest and best is “with LONG life will I satisfy you and show you My salvation.” (Psalm 91:16)

Although our loved ones did not become the bird that you see out your window each day, even better than this is the truth that they are now among “the great cloud of witnesses surrounding us” (Hebrews 12:1) and do sometimes have access to see what we are doing as we each endeavor to run the rest of our race with JOY! They are cheering us on as we partner with God in His work of bringing the Gospel to the uttermost parts so we can all be together for eternity! ~Be Blessed, Jenny
