Do You Want to BE LOVED More Than You Want to Learn How TO LOVE?

If you want to be married, you must first come to terms with the fact that it will never ever be all about you again.

You will be required to choose what is best for the health of the relationship.

No future spouse is perfect.

You must remove the rose-colored glasses of the engagement phase and be willing to work towards true intimacy, which means being vulnerable enough to admit your own dysfunctional skills, the baggage obtained from your family of origin, and the influences from past relationships.

You cannot change anyone, only God can do that.

We must ask ourselves, while it is wonderful we have found a person to love us, do we want to BE LOVED more than we want to learn how TO LOVE another?

The bottom line is, do you love this person enough to be willing to do the work on YOURSELF, that is required to create a beautiful life of walking in love? ❤️

And the bigger question is do you LOVE YOURSELF that much?

Because we can NEVER  truly love others more than we love ourselves…“Love the Lord with all your heart, and your neighbor as yourself” -Jesus, Matt. 22:37-39. Only that will transform you into the HIGHEST, MOST LOVING version of YOU ❤️
