Asking Lets Them Know You Care

Have you ever gone through a really tough season?

Sometimes maybe it’s more than one season, but more like many seasons strung together.

It seems like it’s taking a while to walk in the victory or see the manifestation of what you are believing for to come to pass.

Maybe it’s a health crisis.

Or a mental health struggle.

Or a challenge in a close relationship.

Or a difficult financial setback.

Or the death of a loved one.

Perhaps many people rally around you in the initial few days and weeks of your challenge.

But people get on with their lives, because, well, life does go on.

But there will be those people who are IN IT with you for the LONG HAUL.

You know them, the ones who aren’t afraid to check in.

To say the words.

To ask for an update.

And they encourage you, even when nothing has changed yet.

They don’t see it as intruding or awkward or that it will make you feel worse by them bringing it up.

These are YOUR PEOPLE!

Cherish them.

Thank them.

Because them checking in actually makes you feel less isolated in your battle and rather than creating a reminder of what you are already thinking about anyway, it reminds you that people genuinely care.

And it gives both of you the opportunity to declare your partnership of faith concerning the challenge.

And no, your private life shouldn’t be an open book to just anyone, but you will know who you can trust to “lay hold of things in the Spirit” as Matthew 18:19 states that “if two people on earth agree on anything they ask for, it will be done for them by God in heaven.”

There is great POWER in prayer and agreement among believers.

We were created to “bear one another’s burdens” Gal. 6:2

So, check in on your people. Everyone is doing their best to stand firm while believing. Even if nothing has changed yet what also hasn’t changed is your love and support. ~Be Blessed, Jenny xoxo
