Every great story is always comprised of a Hero and a Guide.
I think of Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee; of Luke Skywalker and Yoda; or Dorothy Gale and Glinda the Good Witch, the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, and the Tin Man.
They each had to go on their own journey to discover things about themselves; a strength they didn’t know they had, and they encountered and overcame situations, obstacles, and much peril in order to arrive at their destination.
Those stories would not be interesting at all if the hero or heroine set off on their journey and promptly made it to their finish line without any hiccups or challenges.
It’s watching their tenacity to overcome every single obstacle and seeing the timely encouragement of those carefully placed along the path that makes you cheer them on from the other side of the screen.
Did you know that God is the Author of YOUR story, but He has written YOU in as the Hero?
You are on a life-long journey with Him.
He has written YOUR STORY and knew you even when He knit you in your mother’s womb.
He has placed gifts, callings, and dreams in your heart.
But they are not automatic.
Someone may be gifted to play the piano but will not become a great pianist if they never discipline themselves to practice and hone the gift within them.
You are given the free will to decide if you are going to embrace and seek to live out all God has planned for you!
There will always be something in the way of you achieving what burns in your heart.
You will become who you believe you are.
So, ask yourself, who do I believe I am?
You can become the highest version of YOU, who God intended for you to be.
It will take intentionality, but the belief must come first.
You must recognize and take captive any thoughts that are contrary to who God says you ALREADY ARE IN CHRIST and the potential that God ALREADY SEES IN YOU!
Are you willing to sacrifice your comfort (or really false comfort) to step out on a journey to transform into the highest version of yourself?
Because there are two kinds of discomfort; the discomfort of stepping out and the discomfort of staying the same. Both are uncomfortable to our flesh. But you get to decide which one is worth embracing.
Because it’s all the best things in life that are so satisfying when we overcome and do the hard work of growing and transforming.
Are you ready to learn about how YOU can BE TRANSFORMED and live the rest of your life FULLY ALIVE, accomplishing even hard things, to FULFILL ALL YOU WERE BORN FOR?
