Feeling overwhelmed and unsure as your children are ready to go back to school? Homeschool, public, private, online, or hybrid? Supplies, uniforms, lunch boxes, sanitizer? The lists of supplies needed can seem as endless as the concerns you may have. But what a wonderful privilege we have as parents that we can pray for our children as they head back to school and experience freedom from fear, concern, and worry. We are truly the only ones who have the authority given to us by God and we can set His plans and protection in motion as we declare His words over our kids. Not sure where to begin? Feed on these verses daily to build your faith (because faith comes only by hearing and hearing God’s word) and then spend time declaring them over your children.
Isaiah 54:13 I thank You, Father, that my children are taught of the Lord and GREAT is their peace.
Luke 2:40 My children continue to grow and become strong, they increase in wisdom and the grace of God is upon them.
Psalm 5:12 My children are surrounded with favor as a shield.
Ephesians 1:17, 6:17, & 1 Corinthians 2:16 Thank You for giving my children spirits of wisdom and revelation. Their heads are covered with the helmet of salvation and they have the mind of Christ. They make intelligent, informed, and spirit-inspired decisions today. They will enjoy supernatural discernment and make clever evaluation of every situation they encounter.
Ephesians 3:16 Thank You for giving my children spirits of might and extraordinary strength to resist temptation and stand strong against the schemes of the devil. I pray that they stand fully clothed in the armor of God.
John 10:4,5 They listen to the voice of their shepherd and will not listen to the voice of a stranger.
1 Peter 1:5 My children are kept by the power of God.
Psalm 91 I thank You that my children dwell in the secret place of the Most High. That they are delivered from ANY perilous pestilence and it shall NOT come near them. No evil shall befall them nor shall any plague come near their dwelling. For You will give Your angels charge concerning them to keep them in ALL their ways.
These are just a few of God’s wonderful promises! We cannot always be with our children everywhere they go, but God and His angels are and He will take good care of them. Thank Him for His Words and speak them back to Him daily and enjoy His peace that He’s made available to you. ~Be Blessed
