Nobody decides to be a mother dreading it.
While there are sometimes apprehensions and the fear of the unknown, there is also a magnetic pull on the inside of us toward this dream.
And when the dream comes true, some days will feel like work.
Because they are.
No matter what stage of life your children are in, there will be a constant need to grow YOURSELF UP into a newer version of YOU.
It’s the most self-reflecting role you will ever have.
The constant pull of caring for yourself while this deep need is in you to put your child first.
Even though it is a work, it is something you were never designed to do alone.
To be yoked with Christ, to allow yourself to surrender your heart and will constantly, will allow you to participate in HIS FLOW of EASE & LIGHTNESS!
It’s work, but it can be a PLEASURABLE WORK! 🩷🙏🏻
It’s a pouring out of yourself but you should be enjoying it.
The more we enjoy our experience of motherhood can be felt by our children and allow them to rest in our love and truly enjoy their childhood.
When my children were little and I would be excited about something they, too, would get excited, even if I was just pointing out a beautiful tree on a woodland walk.
WE get the privilege of being the “thermostat” of our homes and creating an atmosphere where our children can THRIVE.
But WE must go FIRST.
