Have you ever heard someone say that they are going back to the doctor, but that they are “believing for a good report?”
Or they may even ask you to pray and believe with them for a “good report.”
While this may sound good, it’s a subtle error that could be holding them back from receiving all that Jesus ALREADY provided for them.
For the Bible says in Isaiah 53:1 “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
Then it goes on to prophesy about Jesus. How He would grow up and what He was destined to fulfill. That He would be acquainted with sorrows and grief. That he would literally bare OUR griefs (in Hebrew sicknesses, H-2483) and carry OUR sorrows (in Hebrew pains, H-4341)
This was prophesied long before Jesus was on the earth. Then it is repeated in the PAST TENSE in 1 Peter 2:24 “And He Himself BORE our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you WERE HEALED.”
Galatians 3:13 “Christ REDEEMED (past tense) us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse FOR US –for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.” In Deut. 28:15-68 it lists many forms of sickness that we would be subject to for not keeping the totality of the Law and in verse 61 it says “and every sickness and every plague not written in the book of the Law.”
So, it is OUR responsibility to FEED OUR FAITH by reading and rereading these verses every single day until our faith is built up by these truths!
That way, when you do go to the doctor, you can go in complete confidence (that’s what faith is, a confident expectation) and peace and not have to rely on some outside source of information like a test result to confirm to you that YOU ARE THE HEALED of the Lord.
Don’t give any outward source that kind of power in your life! Don’t let some other report be the source of your peace. That way, whatever some test result says, you won’t be knocked down by it. It’s not a doctor’s job or lab results job to tell us what we ALREADY know.
We don’t look to those things or even to our bodies to confirm to us that we are healed. The body is not an accurate source of truth. For this “earth suit” will try to ebb and flow in the healing that already belongs to us. So, we don’t look to the body. Don’t check with your body to see if it’s healed. That’s not where healing originates. We only need to look to the Word and stand firm on that truth, which is always a higher truth than this physical body. Amen?
Because if Jesus TOOK ALL SICKNESS on HIS BODY then that means I am authorized to REJECT these symptoms that have tried to come against MY body! And I have the right to declare MY WHOLENESS because I am IN HIM! The body must then come in line with what I declare. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, because I am not moved by time. I’m only moved by the Word which I believe. I will stick like glue to the report I ALREADY HAVE. Amen?
