Shop For the Body You Have

There will be lots of sales this weekend.

Maybe amidst all the back-to-school supplies you’ll be purchasing for your kiddos, you’ll see a thing or two that you just can’t pass up for yourself, dear Mama.

If I could give you one piece of advice…

Shop for the body you HAVE RIGHT NOW.

And not for the one you WISH YOU HAD.

If it’s not your current size, keep on walking.

Resist the urge to buy it as a “reward” for once you lose the weight (or gain the weight…yes, this an issue some women have).

Instead, reward yourself for the perfect, beautiful size you are RIGHT NOW!

It’s okay to want to be stronger and healthier, but can you make a list of all the ways your body is helping you TODAY to do all the amazing, incredible things you are called to do?

How it faithfully carries you, day in and day out; to work, to places you serve, to snuggle your babes, to hold your loved ones in a warm embrace.

Plus, there’s nothing better to boost your confidence than wearing something that fits you perfectly and comfortably.

And there’s nothing worse than wearing something that just doesn’t fit right, shoes included.

We’ve all been there, right?

Trying your best to don some gorgeous shoes that pinch and create painful blisters after even a short time of wearing them?

Guilty.

So, may you find some great deals, and when you are in the fitting room, and you see that gorgeous bod in the mirror, resist the urge to think or say negative things about that beautiful girl you see looking back at you!

She’s YOU, and she has a heart, too, that can be wounded by your negative self-talk, or bolstered by your positive self-love and acceptance.

So, blow her a kiss and a wink, and tell her just how thankful you are for her! ❤
