FACT vs TRUTH

I’m not sure what you may be facing this week. You may have symptoms screaming so loudly in your body that you can’t concentrate on anything. Or you may have had a fight with your spouse or child and now feel so grieved in your heart. You may feel worried about coming up short at the end of the month when that bill is due. These are definitely FACTS in your life, to be in denial of them would be to lie, but God’s Word is ALWAYS the HIGHER TRUTH in our lives! It SUPERSEDES ANY FACTS we may be facing!

Take a minute today to write the facts on one side of a piece of paper…for every fact write a TRUTH of what God says about that! Because His truth is HIGHER! Worry is meditating on the FACT, but FAITH is meditating on the TRUTH! Meditation literally means to mutter, to repeat, to chew. So, Biblical meditation means you are SAYING something and not just THINKING about it! What are you SAYING? We must line our thinking and our SAYING with what God has said! That’s how we allow His POWER to move in our situations! 

Every time you are tempted to worry about that situation, look at that paper and read aloud, confess out loud that while those may still be the facts, this is what you BELIEVE about it because this is what GOD SAYS and God is not a man that He could lie. When the enemy comes pounding on your head with these thoughts playing like a neon sign, you rise up and say, “No, devil! That’s a lie because it does not line up with God’s TRUTH about me! I take that thought captive and replace it with God’s thought about me!”

Jesus, Himself only responded to the devil with, “It is written!” If it’s good enough for Jesus, it’s good enough for me! God said it, I BELIEVE it, that SETTLES it, in Jesus’ name! ~Be Blessed, Jenny
