Don’t Give Up! God Will Fight For Your Marriage!

30 years ago today, Valentine’s Day, we had our first date. 3 years ago the enemy tried to steal him away from me.

Did you know we have an enemy in this life? He hates strong marriages and detests healthy families. Insecurity, confusion, and division, all stem from fear. It’s the only card he’s got. If he can get us to question each other, our callings, our purpose, what we’ve built, and what the future holds, then he can derail what God has joined together. He has no other agenda than to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

I knew that everything I have ever learned about faith was for this battle. Almost three years of couples therapy felt like climbing a mountain, with lots of communication soreness from being out of shape, and hard work of forgiving, and tears of uncertainty. But that’s what faith is. It believes that what’s on the other side of that mountain is there, even when you can’t yet see it with your physical eyes. Faith is for what is yet unseen. Once you see it manifested, you no longer need faith for it.

There’s nothing like working on your life together that makes you see so clearly how much you need to work on yourself. So, I hired a life coach, just for me and she helped me change everything about how I see my life.

She taught me how to love my husband for exactly the amazing person he already is. How to create so much joy and abundance in my marriage. That my thoughts create every single emotion I experience, and that I can experience true freedom by processing through those God-given emotions and then renewing my mind with His higher thoughts. She taught me that UNCONDITIONAL LOVE is the most POWERFUL thing in the universe! It’s how God loves us and how He’s empowered us to love EVERYONE we know! And I am forever grateful!

If you are going through a challenging time in your marriage or any relationship, don’t give up! God is fighting for you! There’s no shame in finding out you weren’t equipped with the tools you’d need for the struggles. But it’s never too late to learn. Looking back now, I can say that this was one of the best things to happen to our marriage because now I know that what we’ve built is real. If you need help, reach out. ~Be Blessed, Jenny
