The enemy seems so slick but in all honesty, he really only has two modes of operation; deception and distractions, and being deceived can be the biggest distraction of all. I’ve heard it said that not every thought that is in your mind originated with your mind. Our thoughts are shaped by our surroundings and what we perceive, by the influence of others around us, and by an enemy whose main goal is to get us off-track with God’s plan for our life. If he can get us to feed on the wrong thoughts, yes, they need to be fed to grow and become strong just like our bodies, then he can get our flesh to follow after the thoughts. We have so much bombarding us all day long. It used to be you had to get home from work to turn on the tv to see the news, but now a little device buzzes in our back pocket all throughout the day to keep us distracted, I mean updated, on what is going on around us. Our thoughts and words are the most powerful things we have because they’ll inevitably propel us to action. When we think about and feed on wrong thoughts, we will take the wrong actions in our lives. But when we think on and feed on the truth of God’s word, it will cause us to act in line with His plan for our lives. **Take some time this week to step away from distractions and draw close to God and just enjoy His presence. When we truly quiet our minds and slow down, that’s when we can tune in and hear His leading. His leading will always bring peace and true satisfaction in our lives. ~Be Blessed, Jenny
