Don’t Downplay The Blessings

James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variation, or shadow of turning.” (NKJV)

Don’t ever downplay the blessings of God! Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights! If something in your life changed for the better, even just a little bit, give God the credit He is due. When we cultivate a lifestyle of thanksgiving for all our blessings, taking time to talk with Him about so many little things that make our lives better, or easier, or wonderful, we’ll be surprised at just how very blessed we really are. Even all of those things that we seem to do every day, some with ease and some with great effort on our part, we must realize that we could not even do without Him putting within us the wisdom and strength to do. We really cannot take credit for any of it. If you think you’re a self-made man, you’re deceiving yourself. Take time throughout the day to thank Him for helping you with all you accomplish and you’ll be amazing at how much you’ve been able to do together!
