Sometimes we see others doing the exact thing we ourselves are called to do. It’s so tempting to compare ourselves to others and feel like we don’t measure up. Remember that what you may see in them today is what has taken them years to grow in and gain skill. It’s great to have wonderful people as examples and it’s okay to admire others, but you do yourself a disservice to compare. Likewise, you may not see anyone doing what you feel God has called YOU to do, and not having an example before you may make you shrink back feeling sure this can’t be what God has in mind for you. But perhaps He needs you to be a trailblazer, following the leading of His Spirit so that others, in turn, may eventually follow your example. Either way, God has made you so unique that whatever He has planned for you, He expects you to BE YOU. Let people see you for who you are and as you lean on Him and His grace get out there and in His strength do what you were born for.
