What You Speak, You’ll Create

Gen. 1:2,3 “And the earth was formless and void and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.” The creation story is not only recorded to show us WHAT God did but HOW He did it. Because He expects us, who are made in His image, to create things in OUR lives. The Holy Spirit hovers over the surface of our lives even still, waiting for us to SPEAK God’s Word in order to set things in motion! If you don’t like what you see, begin to search out in the Word how He promised it should be and how you want it to be and then SPEAK it out. Nobody else can do your speaking for you. Your pastor can’t. Your mama can’t. Your spouse can’t. YOU must believe and speak. God blesses as much as He can, but when we speak His Word, He is obligated to perform it in our lives. Our speaking gives Him permission to move. Because the speaking releases our faith. The Holy Spirit is the performer of the Word. He brings the power on the scene.
