Don’t Give in to the Comparison Trap this Christmas

Did you know it’s okay to keep using the same Christmas decor you’ve loved for 30 plus years?

Nothing wrong with buying some new things if you truly want to but it’s also nice to experience the memories of things through the years.

It’s okay to not give in to any pressure to go out and buy whatever is being “showcased” by influencers this year.

That’s their job after all.

And it’s okay to decorate a little or a lot and to like your reasons for whichever you decide.

In fact, it’s not the pretty things to look at as much as the beautiful people who get to sit around your table and who may gather in your living room who are truly magical 🎄✨

This time of year can feel new and exciting; maybe you have new family members to celebrate with.

And for some this may be the first or another holiday season without a beloved family member in attendance.

Some may not feel like decorating at all.

And I want you to know that all of these choices are okay.

Do whatever brings you peace and joy.

Don’t compare yourself or your home with anyone else’s.

And resist the temptation to participate in every gift exchange which may not be in your budget this year.

Give if you can and it’s in your heart to do so and not because you feel obligated to.

May this wonderful season bring you a sense of comfort, cozy, and love 💗For even if you’re missing someone it means you are blessed with someone you truly love and care for 🎄
