Jesus Had Come to Defeat an Enemy, Just Not the One They Had in Mind

Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, fulfilling prophecy, and showing His agreement to Kingship.

The crowds shouted “Hosanna!” in response, which is translated to mean “Praise God!” “Save us!” or “Deliver us!”

While the Israelites assumed Jesus would be an insurrectionist who would overthrow the power of Roman rule, they did not understand the depth of His mission.

He had come to defeat an enemy, just not the one they had in mind.

He had come to do something even greater: to defeat the enemies of sin, sickness, death, and the devil who bound Adam and Eve and every man and woman after them.

May we take time as we enter this Holy Week, to not only remember but to CELEBRATE the greatest act of LOVE the world has ever seen!

Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, WE can LIVE FREE from ALL BONDAGE!

WHEN HE ROSE, WE ROSE, TOO!!!

HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST! ~Be Blessed, Jenny xoxo
