As it was the warmest it had been in weeks, and although it is a pale day here in NY, I took an hour away from my work to go for a walk in the wintry woods ❄️
Finishing up Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility in my headphones whilst I rambled over frozen stream and past each naked tree, I could not match the Dashwood sisters in their forgiveness of that scoundrel Willoughby, and yet rejoiced with Elinor in her triumph of Edward’s heart at long last 💘
As I was just about to turn back to make my return, I happened upon the most delightful, albeit shy and of short stature, gentleman ⛄️
Made it home in time for my next Zoom call and treated myself to a lunch of sourdough cinnamon and pumpkin spiced French toast and uncured bacon 🥰
