What is a Mother?

Did you know that EVERY woman on the earth is called to be a MOTHER? Let’s talk about it ❤

What is a Mother?

It is a NOUN and it is also a VERB.

It is the expression of the LOVE of God on the earth.

Every girl is BORN a DAUGHTER, but they are REBORN as a woman to be a MOTHER!

Motherhood is biological, it is spiritual, it is relational. We mother our children, biological, adopted or spiritual. But we have within our DNA the innate need to “mother” others. We mother children, we mother our sisters, we even mother our mothers. Because God will not limit His expression to a certain age. 

There have been times I have been so sweetly “mothered” by my own daughter as a toddler. When she would sense I was lacking in some way and would crawl up into my lap and whisper in my ear, “Mama, you are beautiful.” “You are the best mama God ever gave me!” “Jesus loves you and I do, too!” “I’ll o-ways be with you!” Who else could be responsible for a little one being so wise? It is simply listening to the prompting of the Holy Spirit on the inside and pouring out His love and care for another.

Whether your children are nearby or far away. 

Whether they are a huge part of your life in this season, or a small part right now. 

Whether they are still on the earth, or waiting for you in heaven; know that YOU will get to MOTHER THEM FOR ALL ETERNITY! 

The time you feel you are missing out on right now, know that GOD WILL REDEEM it all and it’s a smidge of time when compared to the JOY of ETERNITY!!! 

So, Mamas, MOTHER! 

Mother and nurture all those in your sphere of influence! 

Nurture your family, your husbands, your siblings, your friends, your coworkers. 

Be willing to look outside of the box because God and His VAST LOVE can never be put in a box. 

When you tell Him you are open to it, He will undoubtedly bring you all the people, young and old, who are desperate for the care of the Lord THROUGH A MOTHER! 

Be like the scripture says, “A JOYFUL mother of children.” God is offering you JOY! Take it and enjoy FEELING LOVE while you LOVE on others! It is both His GIFT to YOU and THEM ❤ ~Be Blessed, Jenny xoxo
