We can’t ever really give away anything

Luke 6:38 “Give and it shall be given to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, shall men pour into your lap.”

God doesn’t have U.S. dollars up in heaven to rain down on us when we need it. But He made a way for us to partner with Him. And believe me, you want Him as your partner. Did you know that when you put God first, He can put you first? When you put taking care of His things first, it allows His power access to your things. The tithe is sacred to God’s church. It’s putting His plan first place. It is used for the expenses of the ministry, running the outreaches, keeping a roof over our heads and for supporting our missionaries. When we give, God doesn’t send us money, but He does deal with men to give back unto us. He gives us supernatural favor at our places of employment, causes deals to come into our paths. The Word says that every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights. Everything good that comes our way is only because we serve a good God, Who loves to bless us. There are no coincidences or chance when serving God, but I challenge you to not only take notice when things line up for you but also to stop and thank Him for giving you favor! For even one week, at the end of every day, write down all the things that went your way, from somebody ahead of you paying for your coffee at the drive-thru, to the serviceman changing just a small part on your appliance and not replacing it totally, to your company paying for a business lunch. It’s all Him! This verse says every time we give it shall be given back unto us! We can’t ever really give away anything, because God just makes it come back to us and it’s multiplied!! 

Take a moment this week to pray this prayer: Father, I thank you for the privilege it is to give back unto you, for it is proof of Your great faithfulness to me. Thank you for meeting all my needs this week and that Your supply is ever moving out in front of me. That every need facing my family and the needs of my local church will be met in full as we each do our part to obey by faith. When I give I am partnering with You and You are in position to show Yourself strong on my behalf and I give You all the glory for it, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
