Psalm 23 says that God leads us by peaceful, quiet, still waters, not choppy or full of turbulence. If we feel pressure or fear about a decision, that is not God’s leading. It’s the enemy who pushes and prods us in a certain direction. But “we who are sons of God are led by the Spirit of God” Romans 8:14. As children of God, we are promised a leading by the Spirit and He never leads apart from peace. Therefore, we can look to the Spirit on the inside, that still small voice which gives us peace no matter what the outward circumstances may be saying to our mind. Follow after peace, it’s the leading God is trying to give you.
