“And behold, a leper came to Him, and bowed down before Him saying, ‘Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean. And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’ And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” (Matt. 8:2,3)
This man knew Jesus HAD THE POWER to change his life, he just wasn’t sure HE WOULD USE IT to help him!
Many of us find ourselves in the exact same place today.
Lord, I know you can, but WILL YOU?
I’m so glad that Matthew knew it was important to include THIS ACCOUNT so that it would be SETTLED, ONCE AND FOR ALL TIME, that Jesus not only has the power to help you, BUT THAT IT IS HIS WILL!
This is why it is VITAL TO KNOW GOD’S WORD FOR YOURSELF!
Because HIS WORD IS HIS WILL!
So, if you want to know God’s will about something in YOUR LIFE, you must go to the WORD!
Because Romans 10:17 says that “Faith comes by HEARING THE WORD!”
Once the leper heard that Jesus’ will was to heal, faith dropped down in his heart like a coin in a slot! And he was ready to BELIEVE and RECEIVE what Jesus would provide for him.
If you’re not sure what God’s will is for YOUR LIFE whether it’s healing you need from sickness, or financial provision, or a relationship to be restored, or something you are lacking in any other area, GO BACK TO THE WORD and keep feeding on the scriptures the Holy Spirit brings you to until nothing anyone else says (not even your own thoughts) to convince you otherwise, and THEN go to God, bringing His Words to Him and pray BELIEVING He WILL DO what HE SAYS HE WILL.
His Word is HIS BOND AND COVENANT to you!
Many Christians do not even know His Word, much less how faithful He is to perform it in their lives! But Jeremiah 1:12 (AMPC) says, “Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am ALERT and ACTIVE, WATCHING OVER MY WORD TO PERFORM IT.”
We must get honest with ourselves and locate exactly where our faith is so we don’t shipwreck ourselves.
Faith is not a bottomless pit! It is an ACTUAL SUBSTANCE, and once it’s “spent,” more must be acquired. We cannot live by yesterday’s faith any more than we can by yesterday’s dinner.
Faith is not worried, it’s a “blessed assurance” that comes by hearing and hearing but not just hoarding up but when FULL, RELEASING!
Don’t pray “worried prayers” or “speed tongues,” thinking you are making an effect. You are deceiving yourself. For faith is a rest! Resting in His vast love and ability to perform His Word in your life!
Faith is not just believing He CAN but that He WILL and is ALREADY WORKING ALL THINGS TOGETHER FOR YOUR GOOD! Amen?! ~Be Blessed, Jenny xoxo
