When a thought brings FEAR, DESPAIR, or PRESSURE, it is NOT from the Lord!
Isaiah 55:12 “For you will go out with JOY, and be LED FORTH WITH PEACE”.
Be assured that the Holy Spirit will always lead you with PEACE.
He is a perfect gentleman and He promised to LEAD us, not PROD, or PUSH, or DRAG.
Romans 8:14 “For all who are being LED by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.”
So, as children of God, we are promised a LEADING!
That’s such good news, friends! We don’t have to wander through life aimlessly, unsure of what to do next.
No, we can go back to God’s promise and thank Him that we now have the Holy Spirit on the inside and He promised to lead us. We get the blessing of a leading!
We must get proficient at learning the leading of the Spirit. While we do live in this physical body with a brain that is subject to outside stimulus that causes chemicals to be released and those chemicals produce feelings, we don’t have to be governed by them.
We may feel nervous energy in our physical bodies when having to do something that is outside of our skill set or a big change. That is completely normal. But we always have the ability to tap into the PEACE that Jesus provided for us.
We have the ability to walk by peace in our hearts even when our head may be giving us fits. If it feels like dread, it’s not from God. Even when something is difficult to face, there will be a peace on the inside. We can ask God to empower us and give us the courage to obey His leading.
Always look for the PEACE on the inside. And not the FALSE PEACE that naturally comes from ignoring or dismissing something that you don’t want to do.
Learn to push aside all thoughts and feelings and take time to get quiet and dip down on the inside to hear from God about it. Even when God has to correct us, there will be a sense of love and peace there, because correction is a rescue to us. It’s an alignment to keep us on course. ~Be Blessed, Jenny xoxo
