We Need A Pastor

When Jesus left the earth He gave us the Holy Spirit to dwell on the inside of us but He also gave us the local church because He said that we were like sheep without a shepherd. What a good God! He knows our inner makings and that we would have need of the inward witness of the Spirit but that our fleshly self would have need of an earthly shepherd, one we could see and hear with our physical senses, to help us navigate this life. These two gifts work together to strengthen the Word in us. If we cannot submit to a pastor we can see, how will we submit to a God we cannot see? Ask God to show you a local church and a pastor He wants you to connect with. He knows the shepherd who will have the answers for your life! That’s how you’ll grow!
