Do Your Prayers Seem to Go Unanswered?

At times it may seem like we are not being heard.

Just like at other times it may seem like we can’t hear God.

But, the Word teaches us in 1 John 5:14, 15 that we can have CONFIDENCE that when we pray according to His will, He does HEAR US! And if He hears us then we know we HAVE the requests we have asked of Him.

Wow! That’s incredible! OUR GOD HEARS US.

But, this is CONDITIONAL, right?

For it says “when we pray according to His will He hears us”.

His will is found in His Word.

So, that puts the responsibility of studying His Word so we can be praying and releasing our faith accurately ON US!

There comes a time when we must grow up enough to not rely on others, just like in the natural sense of a child being able to cook and clean for themselves.

Sometimes we get frustrated because we prayed but we didn’t actually apply God’s law of faith and the rules that govern it.

Like, when we pray for something we do know is God’s will because we see it in the Word, such as His financial provision or healing from a condition, but then we nullify our prayers by speaking against it using words of unbelief the very next day.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Proverbs 18:21; “I have set before you this day life and death, the blessing and the curse, therefore CHOOSE LIFE.” Deut. 30:19

We pray one thing, but we don’t really believe it in our heart and our mouths locate exactly where our faith is.

Whenever we catch ourselves doing this, we don’t need to fall prey to the enemy’s condemnation, rather we say, “Father, forgive me for doubting, I trust You and believe Your Words to me” and then keep feeding our faith on what He has said, because FAITH COMES BY HEARING AND HEARING the Word of God.

And we must make sure we are praying what He has promised.

God cannot control ANYONE and neither can we, not even with our prayers! That is unscriptural. We cannot force anyone to do something and neither does He. But we can believe that He is speaking to them. That He is wooing them in a way that only a loving Father can. And we can keep believing and speaking the best of them and that they will know how much He loves them. And He’s given them YOU on the earth and in their life as an in-person expression of His great love!

If we truly believe His Word then we can actually picture Jesus Himself coming into our room and telling us what He thinks about our situation using His Words (because He IS the Word of God, right?) And if Jesus Himself told you something, then why would you continue to doubt?

No matter how long it takes, you can have patience and JOY in the waiting because Jesus told you so!

Isn’t that such good news, friends! He loves you so! And He inspired ME today to remind you that PRAYER WORKS when you WORK IT CORRECTLY! So, no more “if it be Thy will” prayers. Get in the Word and FIND HIS WILL, then you’ll have great JOY in your prayer life! ~Be Blessed, Jenny xoxo
