I have bowls of what I like to refer to as “nature treasures” around our home.
Little things we have picked up when on vacation or just on a walk as a family and I like to date them so we have memories of our many adventures.
This sweet little acorn we received at a meeting at church last fall, when our pastor shared all that the Lord has placed in his heart this year for TFH, The Father’s House.
He shared an analogy of how a huge forest of trees begins with just one little acorn.
How profound an impact we can make with the Lord when we are doing it all together.
So, I labeled it and put it on the top of the pile and every time I see it, it serves as a reminder of my small part in serving God and His children as we make room at the table for those in our community to encounter His presence and love. And to remind ME to PRAY for my church!
Do we go to church to CONSUME or to bring our SUPPLY?
We are supposed to be a family!
To bring not only our presence, our giftings, and our finances, but a SUPPLY OF PRAYER & REFRESHING!
One of many things I am passionate about is the local church and its current function in the earth and in God’s overall plan and will. It’s His heartbeat! 💓
Pray for your church.
Pray for your pastors and leaders.
Pray for their protection and for their families.
They face battles we will never know about.
There are pastors that quit the ministry every single day and churches that close every week.
The Bible calls them a gift to the Body. (Eph. 4:11,12)
While Jesus is currently at God’s right hand making intercession for us, THEY are HERE as shepherds we can see and hear, to equip US for the work of the ministry!
They work with the Holy Spirit and feed and care for the sheep.
And shepherds need care, too.
Paul, while in prison, said in Philippians 1:19 “I know that this shall turn out for my deliverance through YOUR PRAYERS and the SUPPLY OF THE SPIRIT.”
What confidence he had in his sheep.
Can OUR pastors say the same?
