Oh, I know it doesn’t always feel magical, especially when you’re tired.
But I hope this gives you permission to slow down, take a breath, relax into their chubby-armed embrace, and be at peace with the knowledge that it won’t always be this way with this child.
Tomorrow they will be another day older (and a little heavier 😉)
They won’t always crave your touch like this.
Like a summer day, it is fleeting.
Because babies don’t keep.
So, dear Mama, whenever you can, PAUSE, drink them in, relish their scent, their softness, their mispronounced words in their sweet little toddler voice, and just BE.
How wonderful to have a little person in your life who still thinks you hung the stars ✨ and allows you this marvelous opportunity to be present. What a gift!
